It’s great that she can redraw from a photo – the stripes were done so well! She also learned how to draw a lemon and how to shade it nicely.

Ayaka did a great job drawing a bag with a Christmas theme! She made the main object big on the paper and created a nice sense of 3D space. Keep up the great work!

7th lesson: We started the lesson with shading practice and learnt how to draw a 3D cube and sphere.
Ayaka’s control with straight lines is good! She is very careful with details. Sometimes, there are lines that are not perfect, but I hope she knows that those lines are evidence of learning – and they show her observation very well!We then draw a picture of her sticker. It’s great that she learn how to draw big this time. We will continue to practice in the future.

6th lesson: Ayaka painted from observation today. She learnt to plan the composition and draw big on paper. She then learnt to use wet-on-wet technique with watercolor. Good job!

5th lesson!
Ayaka learned how to paint using color relationships. We practiced the three basic relationships: analogous, complementary, and triadic.
Ayaka followed the exercises very well. She was focused and careful in choosing colors for each study. Excellent!
Maybe we will explore more color relationships in future drawings and try to apply them to flowers, animals, or small objects she likes.
