Continuing with **pencil shading techniques**, Emily did a great job identifying the light and dark areas, with a clear sense of **notan**.
Her pencil strokes were also very clean and beautiful.

Emily started her still life drawing using a simple construction method — building the composition with straight lines to find the most basic and simplified forms possible.

Completed the basic form drawing in just two sessions — very fast progress. Starting from the next lesson, we’ll move on to the Basic Pencil Drawing 2 course, focusing on still life subjects.
