Japan
(Teacher’s feedback for each lesson under comments section)
One quiet Sunday morning, Kanade, a small girl from Japan, walked into our studio with her mother. She didn’t say much at first — just looked around with wide, curious eyes. Then, she picked up a brush.
With gentle encouragement from her mom, Sayumi, she began to paint. Shy but determined, she surprised us with her courage and focus. It didn’t take long for her to settle in, surrounded by another young artist, Tayuna. Laughter, paint, and new friendships filled the space.
We’re always happy to welcome more Japanese students and expat families to our space. Art becomes a shared language here — a way for children to express themselves and connect, no matter where they’re from.
At Art Tutor Hanoi, friends are made, creativity blossoms, and confidence grows — one painting at a time.

Kanade’s best drawing so far! Inspired by her school’s sports, she drew a girl and a vault – then added her own playful twist with bright, vibrant colors. It’s full of energy and joy, just like her!

Kanade chose the most difficult rose to draw – we love the spirit! The lines are very accurate, and the colors can be done more carefully.
The second drawing was of a character. This was done so well!

Beautiful sunflowers, drawn with oil pastels! She is more relaxed today and followed the instructions patiently!
She then learnt to draw a shell. So good!

This tulip sketch was quite good, but it seems that she was feeling a bit tired as there are too many flowers. It will be great if the colors and done more carefully. The leaves part is good.

She came up with drawing a necklace for her mother – which is so lovely! She learnt to color pearls and how to draw a star.
