A practice piece with glass objects — quite a challenge, but Lille managed to pull through. The background fabric still needs more detailed rendering, as it helps enhance the transparency of the glass jars.

A very successful drawing by Lille. She captured the fabric texture of the bunny and the flowers beautifully. Congratulations, Lille!

The second session with charcoal. Lille has already started to gain better control.
In the upcoming sessions, we will focus on practicing how to use charcoal to capture the texture in still life drawings

Lille started her first exercise with charcoal. It’s quite different from pencil — she has to get used to shading the paper with black charcoal first, then working the highlights back out with erasing. She had a very good start, and I believe she will master charcoal in just two short weeks at Art Tutor.
