Final session… Madalyn was very patient and careful with her work, and we really appreciate that! After countless thin layers of colors, here’s the outcome. She also learnt about paper mounting process, as well as silk rinsing. Great job!

Adding more layers of colors, experimenting with blending techniques.

First layers of watercolor, and wet-on-wet techniques!

Pencil tracing, then outlining using a fine-tip brush on silk.

Madalyn learns about the differences between lụa mau and lụa thưa’s surfaces + how to stretch silk onto frame. Later, she worked on her design to prepare for next sessions.
