Maria started with still-life painting. Her first exercise was with plastic apples. The forms were solid, and she handled the oil paint quite well. In terms of color, each object was a bit monochromatic, with low saturation.In the next session, we will continue adjusting the colors to make the painting more lively.
Maria is very persistent in practicing her color work — truly admirable.

Maria started a complete still life painting. She began, as always, with creating color maps and selecting a suitable color palette.

An interesting exercise where random colors are placed side by side to understand how they affect each other. Maria managed to find matching color pairs. She should continue this exercise at home to discover color combinations that suit her personal style. Very good!

Maria practiced color mixing with secondary colors on the palette, creating harmonious combinations by adjusting the value and intensity of each color.

Maria’s first color exercise was to paint basic color areas (a color map) using three corresponding hues from the color wheel — an exercise to understand the fundamental color harmony in a painting.
