The new challenge: a complex setup with a diversity of materials, brightness values, and shapes. It’s a good start (especially the sketch)!

First try with notan composition. The textures are still similar (not varied) but she is improving!

Continuing to work with basic shape objects, we focus on how to control the light and dark system.

the proportions are very good! She learnt basic steps to smudge charcoal on the paper and the values are quite good. Next lessons we’ll figure out more textures and practice more with values.

The young girl has skills, but she needs to learn some basic theories for building the shapes of objects and shading.
