My review of the VCCA Festival exhibition
Most of the artwork I saw in the VCCA Festival art exhibition I couldn’t tell what the theme of the paintings exactly was so I thought it was like a no theme exhibition. This exhibition was a lot better than last exhibition where the painting was just a lot of swirls with a boring color palette. There was an artwork called “The 300 days of walking” and it was way too dark to see and I think it was drowned in lacquer because it was WAY too shiny. Here are some painting i saw that are WORTHY of my liking:
This painting looks like a room being shined by the sunrise making it look GOLDEN
This painting looks like if you put one of the CDs in a CD player it would show you the wonders of Vietnam.
The painting looks like it’s made of real jeans.
The turtle looks so realistic I think it might be a real turtle stuck in a painting
This painting looks VERY realistic and it should have won the exhibition.

Fourth course with Zayan!
Today he went to an exhibition in the VCCA art gallery. He made some observations and wrote his review on it. Great job!“My opinions on the EARTH EXHIBITION.
Today, I went to an exhibition about Abstract Art. It was from an artist I didn’t know the name of. He specialized in Abstract art using soil made paint. His art mostly used Brown, Blue, White and occasionally a little bit of green and I think he used Acrylic paint for most of his artwork and pieces because the artwork felt very rough. He probably didn’t use Varnish because the artwork looked very dull. %90 of his artwork looked like splashes of paint and scribbles of paint but the other %10 looked very realistic. All of his artwork was made on very big canvas so his artwork was very big.
The comparison of his artwork looks like a mix of Jackson Pollock and Yayoi Kusama combined because it looked a little bit surreal and also I could see how the artworks looked abstract.
Overall, the summary score of this art gallery was 6/10.
(By the way his name was Ly Truc Son)“
