Consciousness Shaping explores how awareness transforms itself through time, experience, and healing. The geometric structures in this composition symbolize the ongoing process of consciousness seeking unity — fragments of perception in the act of becoming whole. Each angle and color represents a stage in this evolution: thoughts, instincts, memories, and emotions gradually finding harmony through change. Within the shifting geometry, subtle traces of life forms — a giraffe, a bear, a tiger, a bird, a human body — emerge and dissolve, mirroring the diversity of existence held within awareness itself. At its core, this work is a response to mental health — a visual meditation on the inner reconstruction that occurs when the mind strives to restore balance. It reflects the constant interplay between fragmentation and integration, where moments of confusion, pain, and renewal coexist. Through the act of shaping and reshaping, Consciousness Shaping expresses how healing is not a single event but an infinite loop of discovery, adaptation, and becoming — the continual redefinition of self in pursuit of wholeness and peace.
Teacher critique
From Ho Huu An: It’s quite difficult to give a full critique of Cubism-inspired works like this without knowing more about the concept or the context in which the piece was created.
Perhaps we should discuss these aspects further before I can offer more specific advice.
In terms of form, there seem to be quite a lot of triangular shapes and sharp angles — it might be more interesting if the shapes were used more flexibly.
Regarding color, there’s a contrast between warm and cool tones, but it hasn’t become fully clear yet.
Overall, the composition feels harmonious and pleasant — a gentle and well-balanced abstract painting. Congratulations!
*Note: I saw that you also sent another piece, but my comments would be quite similar, so I’m replying only to this one for now. Looking forward to seeing your next works!*
