Short-Term Art Classes in Hanoi for Travelers

Visiting Hanoi for a few weeks and want more than a one-afternoon workshop? Our short-term art classes are taught packages of 6–12 sessions — the exact number depends on you: how long you stay, how often you can come, and what you want to practise. English instruction in a quiet Tay Ho studio near West Lake.

You leave with real skill practice (drawing foundations, charcoal, colour, or painting), not just a souvenir craft. Most guests book a trial class first; then we recommend a 6-session or 12-session package that fits their dates and pace.

Who short-term classes are for

  • Travelers staying in Hanoi about 2–6 weeks (or longer) who want regular studio time
  • Adults who prefer a taught course over a single workshop or self-directed residency
  • Beginners and returning artists who want clear feedback in English
  • Anyone whose schedule varies — we set session count and frequency per person, not a one-size-fits-all timetable

6–12 sessions — chosen for each person

Adult short-stay packages are typically 6 or 12 sessions (from $115 / $183 USD). There is no single “correct” number: after a trial we look at your level, goals, and departure date, then suggest what you can finish comfortably. Some travelers start with six and add more if they extend; others book twelve from the start. See pricing and art classes in Hanoi.

  • 6-session package — common for shorter stays or a focused foundation block
  • 12-session package — when your stay (or energy) allows deeper practice
  • Intensive schedule — same 6–12 range, compressed into fewer weeks if that suits you

Short-term class vs workshop vs residency

  • Short-term course (this page) — 6–12 taught sessions tailored to the person; best for skill building during a stay of weeks
  • One-day workshops — life drawing, silk painting, zine making; ideal for 1–2 days in Hanoi
  • Artist residency — independent studio access for 1–4 weeks; optional guidance, not a fixed class

How booking works for travelers

  • Book a trial class ($20) to meet the studio and teaching style
  • Tell us your arrival/departure dates and how often you can study — we propose a 6–12 session plan that fits your trip
  • Pay for the agreed package; unused long-term packages remain valid for 12 months if you return
  • Materials are provided in class; English-friendly tutors throughout
