For her final sessions, we worked on a still life drawing of a teddy bear using pencil, then painted it with gouache. Bethany has developed a good eye for comparing proportions, and her progress has been really impressive. The pencil lines are now confident.She also learned the wet-on-wet technique, creating soft and interesting color variations in the bear.
Bethany learns very quickly, and it has been a joy to see her growth. Wishing her all the best on her artistic journey!

Today Bethany learned how to paint using an Impressionist technique. She did a study of Monet’s Water Lilies using oil pastels, and the result was amazing. She understood how artists observe light and adjust their colors accordingly.

Drawing a pyramid: She learned how to compare her drawing with the model by stepping back and looking from afar.

Drawing a sphere: She learned how to make an “envelope” around the object. Her shading got better and she was more aware of the composition this time. Good job!

Sample session with Bethany – she learned basic cube drawing and how to arrange a composition on A3 paper. She still needs to work on values, but she learns quickly!
