Theodor – 24 sessions, 48 hours of practice with the goal of painting portraits in watercolor. He has shown great persistence and dedication, working through many challenging exercises, from skull studies and simplified head forms to more realistic human head drawings. He also participated in a life drawing session.
Although he has not yet reached the final goal of painting portraits in watercolor, the fundamental skills he developed at Art Tutor Hanoi will support his continued progress in the future.

This is a difficult sculpture study, but I think he did quite well. A good pencil sketch will help make the coloring process easier.

Today he spent the entire day practicing, studying from a model head sculpture to a live subject and from multiple angles. We are relatively satisfied with the results, with many aspects showing clear improvement.

Today he practiced drawing heads from very different angles, applying the structural knowledge learned in the previous session. Some of the results are quite good.

Theodor started drawing a portrait bust, finding it a bit challenging to capture the head at a three-quarter angle.

Completed a monochrome gouache skull painting, gaining a better understanding of form structure and how to render volume in shadow areas.
