Long time no see! This time we studied Van Gogh’s Starry Night with her own creative touch. Her drawing skill has improved – clear pencil lines and good proportions. She practiced using long watercolor brushstrokes. A bit nervous with watercolor, but she’s on the right track. We’ll continue next lesson.

She made a study from her family photo using watercolor and colored pencils, choosing a vibrant and lovely palette. She learned how to arrange three people in relation to each other to create a balanced composition. She captured the facial features very well – great job! I hope her mother liked it as a birthday gift.

Painted the value scale today. She learnt to control the consistency of water and paint. Then she studied lighting and how it makes shadow. Keep up the good work!
