Each color version became progressively more challenging. Version 2 was particularly interesting, featuring a warm palette with strong contrast.
Version 3, however, lacked a clear value structure and visual intent. I think we’ll need to spend the next session on a few supporting exercises before moving forward. -

After this assignment, I have a much clearer understanding of the areas we need to work on. Although he has a solid foundation, the most important thing is to ensure that this knowledge does not limit his willingness to explore and experiment. Even so, this is still a well-executed piece—it is carefully done, though it feels just a little lacking in vitality. -

This time, we understood each other much better. He has a good eye for form, and his understanding of color and materials is solid. However, it seems that a long break from practice has caused some of his fundamental skills to become a bit rusty.
Today, we experimented with ways to build compositions more efficiently and achieve the colors we were aiming for. The results weren’t quite what we had hoped for, but we’ll keep working at it and continue the fight.
