It seems she’s hit a plateau again—everything has stalled at a certain level. In any case, she’s still very young, and challenges like this will help her grow more quickly.

Everything is still progressing, but I’m hoping she’ll bring a stronger emotional impact to the painting—through color, brushwork, or material. At the moment, it still feels a bit too safe.

The first underpainting layer of the piece has a bright, clear color palette; however, I expect she could execute it more quickly.

I really like her charcoal drawings—they’re quick, expressive, and powerful. However, whenever she transitions to oil painting or other mediums, it becomes a challenge that requires experience to overcome.
