One quiet Sunday morning, Kanade, a small girl from Japan, walked into our studio with her mother. She didn’t say much at first — just looked around with wide, curious eyes. Then, she picked up a brush.
With gentle encouragement from her mom, Sayumi, she began to paint. Shy but determined, she surprised us with her courage and focus. It didn’t take long for her to settle in, surrounded by another young artist, Tayuna. Laughter, paint, and new friendships filled the space.
We’re always happy to welcome more Japanese students and expat families to our space. Art becomes a shared language here — a way for children to express themselves and connect, no matter where they’re from.
At Art Tutor Hanoi, friends are made, creativity blossoms, and confidence grows — one painting at a time.

31/May/2026This is one of my favorite drawings from Kanade so far! She wanted to draw Tinker Bell and practiced capturing the character’s gesture and pose. The stickers added a fun, playful touch to the final artwork. Great job!

17/May/2026We drew Sanrio Friends today. She can follow instructions and control her pencil very well. I hope she finishes her drawing at home – great pencil work!

10 May 2026Kanade made a lovely pencil drawing of herself and her mom. She wasn’t very focused during the lesson, but she still completed a nice sketch. She’ll finish the coloring at home. Good work!

15. April 19th, 2026This time, Kanade drew characters on her pencilcase. I love those characters too, they are so adorable!
Kanade really did capture their cuteness in her drawing. Another amazing week!
