This time, we understood each other much better. He has a good eye for form, and his understanding of color and materials is solid. However, it seems that a long break from practice has caused some of his fundamental skills to become a bit rusty.
Today, we experimented with ways to build compositions more efficiently and achieve the colors we were aiming for. The results weren’t quite what we had hoped for, but we’ll keep working at it and continue the fight. -

This was a basic color gradient exercise. However, he seems to be the kind of person who likes to see results quickly. He also doesn’t appear to be very comfortable experimenting with new materials. Well, next time we’ll have to come up with something that sparks his interest a bit more.
