She completed the second painting in the series, and the color palette was a pleasant surprise, as she did not try to copy the colors from the first painting. That was a very good initiative. Both paintings can stand independently while also working well as a pair. Next, we will push the details further and make the two paintings more interesting.

She started painting directly onto the canvas from the sketch. At this stage, the focus is simply on blocking in the colors to check the composition and overall color harmony, so details are not necessary yet. She should also take the initiative to make changes to create a sense of rhythm rather than relying entirely on the initial composition. Everything is still in progress.

We continued the project by working on the color map. I have to say that she is beginning to develop a color palette of her own, and some of the options look very promising—although, of course, they are also quite challenging.

We will let her choose the direction she wants to take, while prioritizing the options that are realistic to complete within the limited time available.

We reviewed the composition of her previous work and decided to create a new diptych based on the fresh reference material she gathered during her recent trip. A poetic scene based on a real location will be much easier for her to develop and explore.
