The second charcoal drawing was an even bigger challenge: three jars made of three different materials. On the very first day, she quickly blocked in the forms and established the values. -

With a little help, she did a good job on this assignment. The values, textures, and spatial relationships were all handled well. -

We suggested that her next course should focus on charcoal, and it seems to suit her quite well. In the very first session, she demonstrated solid drawing skills, with clear value relationships and a strong sense of structure. -

She had to use only pencil to represent the textures of three different materials. This was a truly challenging task. In addition, the values of the objects and the sense of space were not as strong as they could be. We will continue working on these areas and try to improve them in future studies. -
09/05/2026A basic figure drawing exercise with Eunice. This exercise helps her understand how to observe and capture the overall human pose before moving into the details of the human body.
