Continuing the charcoal drawing of the nutcracker, the notan is quite strong, but the wooden material isn’t clearly expressed yet.

Continuing with charcoal practice, this time with more basic forms. The result is noticeably better—Joshua is improving very quickly.

Joshua has completed the charcoal drawing of two basic forms—quite quickly and accurately. Congratulations!

Started exercises on drawing basic forms using charcoal. Joshua picked it up quite quickly and has a good feel for the medium.

Completed the fabric material study—very well done. Joshua has understood how to render fabric textures. From the next session, we will move on to charcoal.
