In the final lesson of the Basic Pencil Drawing course, Lucy completed a drawing of three objects.Her drawing is very accurate. With a few small adjustments to the proportions and placement, she will be ready to begin the shading stage.

She learnt how to draw the hexagonal shape with a lot of parallel lines. From this model we understand further the basics of shading a 3D shape. She learnt to do hatching base on the direction of the shape. Good job! -

15, 17 Jul 2026Over two still life sessions, Lucy learned how to measure proportions using a measuring stick and practiced even cross-hatching. She has a strong sense of proportion and carefully observes her subject. Next, we’ll continue with other basic forms and drawing exercises. Great work!
