Today’s lesson explored Post-Impressionism and the works of Van Gogh.
Sieun chose Almond Blossoms as a reference for her clay painting. She put a lot of effort into completing a large piece. Her strong sense of initiative and independent creativity is very commendable. Great job!
She then created another drawing as a gift for her mother. How lovely! -

She drew still-life today. Her first vase was very charming, like stained-glass windows in the cathedral. Her second one was also very great. Although the composition is a bit small compared to the paper size, she compensated by including a portrait of her mother and filling the entire page with color. Love her portrait drawing! -

Today, we studied Claude Monet’s Water Lilies using gouache. Although Sieun was a bit sleepy, she stayed focused and did her best. She is becoming more confident in mixing the right colors from memory. Next time, we’ll work on keeping the painting cleaner and more controlled. Good work today!

Welcome to our art class, Sieun!
Today, she started by drawing a plush bear and an apple. She showed good confidence in her drawing, and her pencil control is already quite strong. We also introduced the color wheel, and we’ll continue exploring color theory in the next lesson. Great start!
