We worked on the color wheel today for a bit of variety. She mixed the colors very carefully while getting used to gouache. We will continue focusing on lighter values next time.

Session 4 focused on shading, basic forms, and background. She shows good understanding of light and volume.
Her shading is still a bit rigid—she should work on being more flexible with pressure and tonal variation. Overall, good progress.

Spent most of the session measuring and comparing the hexagon and the sphere. She began building the main values gradually. We will continue and finish it next time.

A bit more challenge for her today with two objects! She learns very quickly, and today’s shading looked very light and clean. She also learned how to choose a focal point in the composition.

Trial session. Khanh showed a great eye for proportion and composition. With a bit more focus on seeing the big picture, her drawings will improve even more. A very good start!
